This was the most unusual project that I have been asked to do. But following my own philosophy that a commissioned artist should be able to deal with most things once we understand the technique, I took it on. It is made of wood, marquetry, as the client called it wood mosaic. He had seen this in Rome and wanted me to design a bed for his new baby using this technique. He particularly liked the Cafe Gandolfi Windows.Then it was two beds. We had them made in Sorrento where I used to go frequently.
